I haven't been on the water in a month or so. I figured I better hitch the boat up and go get it wet. A friend and I decided to go up to Shilshole at first light. We started trolling right across from the marina at 40 and 50 feet. The fleet was there and we saw a couple caught but we hadn't seen any action ourselves. I decided to troll north of the pack and we were probably halfway to the oil dock when we ran across a nice bait ball and some marks. I dropped one rigger to 55 and two seconds later we had our first fish on! The second fish came about an hour later in the same area at 80ft. We had a pause in the action and I decided to head back toward the south. On our way we had a double hook up at 80 and 90ft. We were done and pulling the boat out of the water around 10:30 or so. We caught our fish on white lighting, nasty boy coho killers, and a white hair fly. Wish I could go again tomorrow.
