A good nights sleep has not alleviated my addiction. Wife - work. Kids -clothes, food, bus. Dog - walk, food, pet/scratch. Ok all clear, hope I don’t lose my job - DOWN TO THE RIVER!
Same mental argument, fast moving water with seams? or low and slow in the muck?
Got my first frog water fish of the season! Some of the locals have been finding a lot of their fish in the back eddies, I have never done well in slow water till today. A little stressful with the water up, no bank close by to land it. Had to tire it out and bring it next to my legs and did a football scoop and tuck. Just a 4-5# fish, nice and bright, dorsal fin had a net tear. Lost some gear and more lead than normal but as long as there is a fish to take home, I don’t mind the price for the ride.
All of my coho have been wild this year. Anyone else?
I love this time of year when the fishing is in the backyard, and they literally swim up the river to come meet you!
