I had never fished this lake before but had heard good things about it. The lake was recently stocked with some nice Rainbows. I liked the ramp and trailer parking area. It is not huge but very adequate. The turn-around area and beach access is good.

I caught some nice fish throughout the day using various trolling set-ups. The best fish seemed to be along the south side. My favorite rig was a 4” dodger with a green or red Mack’s wedding ring tipped with a piece of nightcrawler. However, I also caught a few fish using a pink smile blade or a brown rooster tail (both behind the 4” dodger).

The biggest surprise of the day was landing a fantastic (estimated 20”) Cutthroat. I do not have a photo because I quickly released it to fight another day. A very impressive fish.

I will definitely visit this lake again.
