Last season we fished the same spots as always, oil docks, Richmond beach, Boeing creek, shilshole, West Point, etc... we had a really bad year. Limited one day and then it was one fish a trip for a couple trips and then 4-5 trip with 0. Super frustrating year last year because 20 trips yielded about 7 fish. This year was quite the opposite. At one point we had 4 trips in a row with 22 fish kept. Also has 4-5 double headers with keepers. We fished the same spots as last year and the same spots as everyone else this year and we NAILED them!!!! Don’t really have a conclusion but I think people underestimate how much the Puget Sound fisherie changes year to year. Yes they are in similar areas, but for example we didn’t get a single fish on a hoochy this year??? All spoons!!! Anyway just wanted to comment on that... right lines and prayers for your buddy and his family
