Made my annual trip to Jameson Lake. Had vehicle trouble so I missed one day of fishing but on Friday my partner and I landed 75 rainbows, not a bad day but we have had better on this lake. We tried various methods and all of them worked: we trolled flies on the surface, we trolled flies deep, we cast and retrieved leech patterns on the bottom and we jigged Chronimids off the bottom. The key was to find the fish (first rule of fishing) then find what they would bite on (second rule of fishing) changing when the bite stopped (third rule of fishing). Bait anglers were doing well also in the right locations. The weather was a little rough but fishable most of the time, the water was a perfect 59-60 degrees and the fish averaged about 10-12 inches but fought like they were much larger. Fished the north part of the lake at Jack's Resort. If you can make the trip, there are still lots of fish to be had.
