Fished the opener with Josh Buttars of Steel Dreams Guide Service. Josh got us on fish right away - Hillary hooked into the biggest fish of the day on the first drift.

We had to release several unclipped fish to each get our one hatchery fish but we were done by 2 pm. Fish were nice sized and bright and cut & smoked great. There are no size restrictions on the Clearwater this year.

We were side drifting with either eggs and yarn or beads soaked in scent. We launched from Pink House and fished the holes nearby.

While it’s legal to bring fish out of the water in Idaho, remember to handle with care and minimize time out of the water.
