Fished Lake Sammamish on Friday with "Grumpy" Moore and "Splash" Eggertsen. It was a little chilly at the launch, 35 degrees" but this lake is definitely on fire for winter cutties! Non stop action all day. Weather was a little funky but we got over it. Fish ON seems to cure any weather issues.

Kept some, C&R some and lost some.

The Fish Hawk said there was only 1 degree difference between the top surface temp and 50 feet. Think that was probably correct because we caught fish from the surface all the way down to 50 feet. They are definitely scattered thru the water column and all over the lake. Smaller fish closer to the surface and bigger ones down deeper.

We used a variety of spinners, hoochies and lures but just about everything seemed to work. Short leaders seem to be the key. RMT Assassins yellow/red, Old Goats pink, FlashyFish spoons, couple different colors of hoochie. Some with a worm chunk and some naked. Didnt seem to matter.

Tight lines
Randy

Thanks for the Water temps! Does the cutty fishing get even better when it's actually Winter? Sounds like the water temps are pretty dead-on for mid-Fall? I would think once Winter arrives it would push everything deeper?

Randy "The Man" Rauscher ran a tight ship - sort of - and kept us on the fish! The weather was a bit chilly and rainy but the fishing was hot! Thanks Randy.

Great catch! Thanks for the update on Sammamish. Been off the lake for a few weeks but hope to be back on the water soon.
