We fished this lake a lot this year. Trout on the lake was some what slow. We trolled from spot to spot trying to locate the Bass. Largest this year was about 7lbs caught by Cabin Boy! Darn near broke his rod and yeas caught it on a live worm. Cabin Boy loves to fish with worms. I ask him "Cabin Boy what are you going to fish with today?" He will answer always the same worms. LOL I on the other hand like my lures. Not to say there any better but I like the action of casting a lot. Today I worked a plastic 5" black straight worm in 15' of water up 4" from bottom near the rocks just a few yars into the deep water. Missed a few light hook ups but landed 3 1-1 1/2lbs. By the way, we catch and release all fish this time of year and always let the Bass go. Hope you all do the same. We play on heading to Power Lake on Tuesday. Have heard the lake was once stocked with Small Mouth Bass. Maybe the fish are there but could not find any info to back up the statement. Any help please let me know.
