Strange day on Roosevelt. Did so well on Thursday we decided to try again today. Launched a little after 9am at Ft Spokane. Sun was supposed to be shining but wasn't (until about 1 pm) so a little chilly. Started trolling right out from the launch and caught first trout very quickly. Continued along the shore opposite 2 rivers marina but no fish. Went up to Castle Rock (split rock) where we found the fish on Thursday. Not there. While trolling into the Castle Creek bay we caught a 24" Pike. Maybe that's why the trout weren't there. Scouted north of the creek inlet and found scattered fish along the east shore. Caught two walleye on the trout flies along with the trout. Ended the day back at the confluence where we caught the biggest trout of the day, a 20 incher. Final count for three fisherman: 13 trout , two walleye, one Pike. Chartreuse out fished everything else, but got bites on yellow/red and Red/black as well. Orange was slow.
