ANYTIME YOU WANT GUARANTEED FISH (ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TAKING A KID AS I WAS), JAMESON LAKE IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO. ARRIVED ABOUT 1630 AND SET UP OUR CAMP. I THOUGHT THE TENT MIGHT BLOW AWAY (AH, THE FAMOUS JAMESON WIND) BUT IT DIDN'T. HAD OUR LINES IN THE WATER BY 1730 AND FISHED UNTIL ABOUT 2000. CAUGHT ABOUT 10 FISH BUT LOST SOME MORE. DUE TO THE WIND AND THE LIGHT BITES IT WAS DIFFICULT TO TELL WHEN YOU GOT A STRIKE. PLUS THE FISH WERE ONLY ABOUT 10". THE NEXT MORNING WE WERE ON THE LAKE AT 0600 AND THE WIND WAS ABSENT. DID MUCH BETTER. CAUGHT PLENTY IN ABOUT FOUR HRS OF FISHING INCLUDING A HEFTY 15" CARRYOVER. HOPEFULLY OCTOBER WILL BE EVEN BETTER. BY THE WAY, WE TRIED WORMS BUT ALL THESE HATCHERY FISH WANT IS POWERBAIT (SURPRISE SURPRISE). THEY LOVE THE RAINBOW STUFF!
