Got to Shady Lake around 9:00am. On a tip from a relative that the trout were still biting by the boat launch. Started out using a couple of power eggs and a nightcrawler on a 4 foot leader. Tried a few different spots, then at about 10:00, caught the first of three 13" fish. At about the same time another fisherman arrived and informed me that they had just stocked 510 lbs of trout ( a mix of rainbows and trips) earlier that morning. He proceded to catch a 13" & a 16" within one hour before he left. I changed from worms to powerbait, and the action increased. Caught the other 13" fish and a fat 16". Hooked into another 16", but he got away because of all the weeds he dragged me through. Should be a good crop of fish opening day next year on this lake.
