I originally wanted to see if I could locate some perch to replenish the taco stash but having been out in a buddies boat I had taken my head unit out of my tackle bag so finding a school felt like needle in a haystack. So I long lined some woolly buggers and trolled around for a while. No biters so I switched to jig and plastic tipped with crawlers. By using the map provided from NWFR I worked my way into 35-40 feet looking for perch. Surprise trout bite. Dropped an anchor and fan casted. Caught a dozen in about a 2 hour midday bite window. One was a healthy 19-20 inch buck caught on a perch and gold kastmaster another maybe 16-17 incher. only 2 were planted rainbows the rest cutthroat All released to fight again Just a lovely day to wrap up 2018. Let the big ones go to keep the genetics going. Tight lines

What a lovely way to finish out the year! Beautiful trout. Those Cutts are showing up everywhere these days and are nicely active in the winter. Life is good when you can C& R about 20 in 2 hours...
