Spent the morning ice fishing Leader Lake. Ice was 7" thick.
Right away I found three Crappie but after that Perch and Bluegill dominated the catch. I probably caught 30+ Bluegill but turned all those back. Perch were more sporadic but I ended up with a solid haul of them as well. I was fishing in 7-12' of water using tungsten jigs and swedish pimples. I stopped fishing around lunch time and did a lil shore lunch video. I start underwater all the way to the frying pan.
Under a new agreement between WDFW and WADNR the road access to Leader Lake will now be plowed in the winter. Access is doable for most vehicles.
