Spent the first 1 1/2 up at Rainbow Lake. The lake has been reconstructed, looks amazing. Much improved shoreline access and more fishable water at the south end. Road and Parking is better and nice rest rooms. See the first two photos. However we didn't even get a bite. Some others were there 3 hours with no action, although there should be 100 triploids.
So, my wife and I drove down the road to Blue Lake where I was yesterday. We did great. Picked up 10 fish in an hour, although we were done before many people had one or two, so what you use made a huge difference (and scent control). Ran 2 green power bait on size 8 hook 18" above a swivel and 1/4 oz slip sinker. Make sure bait floats!
