We started out fishing for Mackinaw in the early morning. We landed a 13.7lb Lake Trout. We decided to catch a few Kokanee for dinner. We headed up lake to just above the yacht club. We set lines and the first rod went off. In less than an hour we had 8 Kokanee, enough for dinner. We where using Rocky Mountain Tackle moonshine dodgers and plankton squids in pink and orange. 70-100’.
Monday March 11 was a great day. We started fishing at 7:45. At 10:15 we wher at the dock with 3 limits. We fished above the yacht club at the white steps area. We used the same RMT moonshine dodgers and plankton squids. 80-100’.
Overall the lake is starting to heat up. There are some huge schools of fish like we seen two years ago. The fishing should be great this spring.
