First time ice fishing this lake for Burbot. My general impression of burbot fishing is that it is very hit or miss. I drilled a line of holes from 30' to 15' and started in deep water working shallower as the evening progressed. I saw several fish on the graph but few if any would commit. I did however catch several fat perch and finally hooked up with a decent burbot around 9 PM. After another hour I called it and headed home. The next day I whipped up some tasty spicy burbot patties...yum!
