I was able to purchase a new boat (to me) this past weekend, and I got it into Lake WA. for a shakedown and little bit of fishing.
Wound up with a 2016 Lund Fury 1600. 16’ side console, 40 HP Suzuki. Anyway, love the boat. It feels great. 2016, and it only has been run for 15 hours of use time.

The fishing:
Launched with my co-fisher, ‘Motoboat’. AKA: Wayne. @ 9:30 via Magnusson. We ran up to Mcalleer (sp?) creek, and dropped down that particular hootchie that ‘Sharphooks’ likes, #344? The correct one anyway.. no love up there. Ran over to Moss bay. No luvs there either. All the way down to

South tip Mercer Island.

Unfortunately 1st time dusting off the gear in awhile. One of my DR’s had been canabolized of braid, so it was one rod on one DR, and partner was long lining. I switched out to a Chartreuse dodger and a green hootchie with the plastic lip for increased wiggle. Picked up a 14” Cuttie South tip of island at 46’ on the braid/wire, 80’ of water. The fish was the fattest 14” Cutt I’ve seen in awhile. Back to the lake he went.
We did not have any other bumps all day.

Got a call from my wife. Had to pull out hurriedly. Our aging yellow lab had a medical emergency, and was in the the dog ER. Very sad day. I had to run back to the ER, and we made the call to put the dog down. He has previous breathing issues, and now for the 3rd-4th time, he had an intestinal blockage, and was not able to do surgery.

Give your pets a squeeze people. These are the ones who never judge you. Always happy to see you. Their ime is short.
