Decided to head out to American since the weather looked a little windy to fish the sound. I went solo today and hoped I might find some kokanee. Unfortunately I only found some small planters and two decent fish. I tried, hoochies, wedding rings, and spoons. I had the most luck with excel spoons in the popsicle color. The fish came at 15 and 20 feet. I did. I did find a nice school at 50-60ft and sent my lure down within 10 seconds the rod popped off and and the fight was on , as I got the fish closer I though it might be a kokanee because it had a dark back and a lot of chrome flashing. Ended up being a wild cutthroat which was a first for me at American. Also met a guy at the ramp named Randy who stopped to ask about the kokanee fishing. We talked fishing for a little bit and a gave him a lure to try on his next outting.
