Thirteen boats in lot at the Fort. Last boat out around 6pm. Two limits all good eaters 19 to 23 " fifty ft w/ jigs, flats on the islands look for rock piles on the electronics. Guy had a beautiful ranger w/350hp on it said speed and I was sadd, thought it would be faster... guess I will keep two boats until they can make a multi species go as fast as my bass bt. Very Windy....

I thought the same thing about switching over from my 60+ mph bass boat. For half the 2017 season I stifled my itch to "Go Fast" while I was out fishing, just to see if I could handle moving around the water at a slower speeds. I would move from spot to spot at 40 mph to see if I could stand it. Turned out that I was really only saving a couple of minutes per run and that was only on a longer run. Most of the time I move only a mile or two from one location to the next. I decided I could live with it and proceeded with the switch to my 2016 Lund Impact XS 1850. I'm glad I made the switch. As much as I enjoyed going fast, I now spend much less on boat gas with the 4 stroke 150, and the seating and ride are much more comfortable. I recently installed a set of Smooth Moves seat suspensions and so far after one trip I love them. My back thanks me for that :)
