Had to row around the small ice pack in front of the launch. Last one for the year! Beautiful sunny day. Lake was a little dirty. Viz about 4 feet. Some plant matter showing up. Water temp about 44*.
Early morning was the best with bright colored flies. I got there later. fished from 10 to 4. Had three in the first hour. Then just one here and there. Only had hot fishing for about 20 minutes, three bright fish. The last two hours, nothing. Fish were 10 to 15". The other guys did much better on size then I did. Like 18 to 20". No hatches at all. But with warming temps coming fast, There may be Chironomid hatches within a week. Just watch water quality as the lake appears to be just starting to turn over. If it stays as is, good enough for a good hatch.
