I read that Lake Roesiger was stocked with rainbows about a week ago so I thought I would give it a try, I put my kayak in at the county park and tried trolling the east shore of the lake with no luck. I almost paddled to the WDFW boat launch and thought I should have just launched there. I turned around and trolled back toward the park and still nothing. I was marking fish on my fish finder but no takers, I was about back to the park just before noon and the rain and wind suddenly quit and trout started rolling everywhere you looked. I bought a set of "Trout Magnet" and thought I would give it a try (I used the bronze color) and was getting hit as soon as it hit the water. I caught 10 or 12 nice rainbow releasing all but one that I hooked to deep and tore its gill when taking the hook out. A day that started really slow turned out to be a lot of fun, next time I will sleep in and wait till noon for the lunch bite.
