I got to the lake about 2:30 on this sunny Friday afternoon. The lake was fairly calm and trolled a woolly straight across to the islands. Nothing. As I got over there, the "slurp" was on, I tossed on a disco midge emerger pattern and hooked up instantly. About a 15" Triploid, fat. Tossed back out and w/in 2 more minutes, bigg'n! Took off on a straight run until snap. That sucks, I thought. Regardless, my fishing partner showed up and we enjoyed the day without much success 'til around the 5:30-6:30 time frame when his persistence with the sinking line and olive woolly paid off! He hooked into and landed a 26", prob. 6 to 7 lb. Rainbow that was the biggest thing I've ever seen in those lakes. MONSTER! We got some pics and a way she went. We ended up fishing until about 8:30 w/ headlamps and the fish were easy to hook up on w/ a black woolly deep. I now bow down to the mighty angler who took the "Big Daddy" of them all out of Lenice, "Deek, Big Daddy, Solomon"
Props!
