Great morning of fishing on Lake Roosevelt for Walleye and Burbot. The morning started off real slow not finding too many fish right out of Hunters. We then went North of Hunters about 3 miles South of Gifford on the West side of the lake. I had noticed when we launched that the lake had been dropped 3 or 4 feet since the last day of fishing and the water temperature was much cooler about 48-49 degrees. We were at first fishing from 50'-80' of water. Realizing that the water had been much cooler then the previous days, I took us deeper. This was the key to finding them! We found the Walleye and Burbot from 90'-118' depth of water. These guys did an outstanding job of fishing from 7:00 am- 1:00 pm.
