After we missed several bites due to poor hook setting practices my crew finally fell into the swing of things. Scale pattern smile blades were producing well for us today on worm harnesses and 2&3 oz bottom walkers. The walleye bit continues to be pretty goods. Nice to finally see some bigger fish. Here’s a helpful walleye tip. When you are trolling bottom walkers, do not set the hook like a tournament bass angler on a bite. In fact, don’t set the hook at all. Just start reeling.
If you you’ll like to get better acquainted with the lake Roosevelt Walleye fishery, I’d be happy to show you how I do it. Feel free to call me or stop by and check out my Facebook page.
