Took off Thursday for a few days at Nunnally. Friday was great with light wind. Hit the lake just after sunrise. Had (3) in about 30 minutes on green crystal bugger, sink tip. Slowed down after that. I picked up a total of (8) for the day, my partner (5).
Saturday - oh how things change! The infamous E. WA wind was present all day. It was fairly constant throughout the day making fishing more of a challenge than I like. We hit the beach for about 3 hours in order to rest and see if the wind would die down - not a chance. We did manage to pick up a few on a variety of flies. There was one large brown, no mine, hooked on an emerger. Total tally for two of us - 12.
Sunday - The wind continued with force. We got to the lake in the dark. Wind wasn't too bad. Again, as Friday, picked up most fish early. We had good weather for about 90 minutes then the wind hit with gusto. Fought it for a little bit but elected to hit the beach again. After about an hour on the beach, the wind continued. Decided against going back out, called it a day. Total for Sunday - 8.
