Left the launch around 7 in my kayak and lead core trolled all the way to the weather buoy using a Dick Nite kokanee spoon with zero hits. Decided to change to silver dodger with about 14 inches of leader trailed by a homemade red wedding ring spinner with a smile blade rigged 2 hook kokanee style and experimented with different baits for tipping. On the way back i picked up 4 nice cuttthroat trout on the East side 3 of which were in the 17-18 inch range. All 4 caught approx 10 feet down. Its funny how quick things can change if you don't give up. They don't put much of a fight on until they get close to the boat but once they get going they put on a good tug especially on an ultra light setup.
