Alder Lake 6-25-19
I asked Catrina to go fishing with me. She hasn't had a fishing license in many years. She caught more fish than I but I caught the biggest. We caught 4 kokanee, 3 crappie (1 I let go), 3 Cutthroat Trout. Lost numerous. We started about 7:30am ended around 12:30.
The weather was sunny with clouds but it felt like it was in the 70’s to me. The water was 65-66. Very few boats on the lake.
Most of the fish were caught at 12 feet on the downrigger line. A few came at 16 feet. The water was cloudier than last Sunday, June 16th.
We had a double or two. The reel fell of the rod that Catrina was using while she was reeling a fish in and I also had one on. I can’t remember if we got them in or not.
Catrina figured out what bait was working on her lure, shoepeg corn with DN Kokanee scent. We did have a pinch of nightcrawler but I quit using that after a bit. I trolled mostly 1.2 to 1.3 but did get up to 1.7.
There was plenty of dock to use. The lake was at 1,193.72 feet of elevation (maximum of 1,207 feet).
