I’ve resumed running trips south of the confluence for rainbows. My last two trips this week provided non stop action for us. These fish flat out put us to work. The best part about this time of year is the ability to locate fish on the fish finder.

We trolled a variety of offerings including the flies, spinners ,and apex’s.Fish seem to prefer them tipped with corn instead of my usual night crawler. For a change of pace I put away the downrigger’s and started using 3 to 4 ounces of lead to get my offerings down. This method is extremely effective, and resulted in better hook ups then the downriggers.

I have lots of openings for this fishery.Feel free to call me if you have any questions about our services. These fish are a blast to catch right now and are excellent table fare.

Great report Dave and so strange to see nice trout reports in July, seems 6mos out of cycle. LOL. Rough estimate of trolling speed and depth of presentation?

I'd hate to see your precise estimate. :-D Hope to post my own report tomorrow. ;-)

Well done and thanks for the comment on the corn, never would have tried it. The Perch Kekeda seems to be the boss lure for my boat. Was thinking like Phil, seems odd to be marking all these fish in July.

Do you feel the weight vs downrigger helped your hookup %?
