Started our 4 day trip to Lake Curlew on July 4th 5.5 hour drive we decided to get some early sleep. Woke up on July 5th 4:30 am and fished from the dock at Curlew State Park.

First cast out 20-30 ft out near the right speed marker buoy. Fishing on bottom using Green and Red PowerEggs dipped in Garlic/Anise oil. Didn’t take long first fish within 2 minutes. Nice size 15” trout.

Amazing trip didn’t have a boat so wasn’t able to catch any Bass or Perch. There is no limit on Perch in this lake and we had seen a group of people who came in with 70-80 Perch. Down side the poor guy was out cleaning the Perch for hours.
