Kim had her line in the water at 8:15am. At 8:16 she had her first bite. I got my first line in at 8:18. My second went in after that 10 feet above the first stacked on the one downrigger. Kim was using the other. I can’t remember the sequence but she had the hot rod! Bites after bites. It wasn’t until later that I started getting fish in. Kim got 7 kokanee into the boat and I got 5 kokanee, 1 crappie, 1 cutthroat trout, 1 catfish.
The lake was at 1089.74 elevation. Full pool is 1207.
It was muggy with the sun peeking out of the clouds. Water temp was 70.
Most fish came at 21 feet down on the downriggers.
The trout I caught hit so hard it took the line out of the downrigger clip.
Catfish came at 17 feet on the downrigger cable in 70 feet of water. Bait was pink and green maggots and corn.
We fished until about 11:30am
Speed was 1.1 to 1.5 but 1.1 to 1.3 got the most bites. Tried to stay in 50-90 feet of water.
