Set out from Lyons ferry at 8:00, targeting walleye, with no action. A little late but tried a couple hours anyway. Bottom bounced 1/2 of Mack's inventory. Worked from the grain silos to just below texas rapids. At 10:30 switched over to smallmouth bass. Targeted structure, submerged gravel shore edges with cobbles and weed edges in 3-12' feet of water. Caught fish like the ones pictured every couple casts, with a few larger ones also. Lost count how many, but we did this for a few hours. We used a blue/silver rattling rapala, a jointed crawfish rapala, and a few others. Also used some rubber worms and so on. Didn't seem to matter what we used as long as it was fished as designed. Structure edges were key. Great day with the family, and even more fun once we got on track. Didn't keep any to eat, got trout in the frig.
