I was initially intimidated by the report of toxic algae, but having seen many skiers & jet skis, decided I'd be safe bass fishing. We found most of our average size fish off the points on the west side of the lake. Ned rigs & crawfish pattern swimbaits paid off. We mainly fished the early & late hours over the holiday weekend. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything that merited a picture.

I like this lake because its calm. Not a ton of boat traffic usually. but havent been in a year or so since the bass seem small. I know there are big ones in there and have seen them but yet to find anything over 3 lbs in the couple times I've been

I'd like to respectfully disagree, there's always a wake boat & a jet ski pestering me at big lake! Lol! The fishing there does seem tough. I've fished there many times with no luck.

Agreed, I've had wake board boats swamp my bow and tubers cut between me and the docks

Well I guess I dont fish it summer. I've only been there in the spring now that I think about it.
