Showed up to the river ready to throw the tackle box at em. Caught one with 1/4 oz. twitchin hootchie jig and the other drifting a frog pattern Dick Nite spoon. The slot I fish is a great place to target these moving fish. Just below and just above the river widens and they spread out, but here the strike zone is narrowed down in half. Had a great time getting out!

Should have come home with a few more but it had been so long since I hooked into a salmon I missed a number of bites early on :)

One of the fish was a hen and so I was thankful to do a decent job bleeding her out. Came home and put some borax on the eggs, put them in a ziplock and into the freezer they went. That way I could cure them up at a later date when I got back from being out of state. I was leaving in less than 48 hours and didn't have time to deal with them.
