One chance to get out and fish Lake Washington, happened to be on the opener, in the evening. My wife JoAnn and I launched at Magnusen and had gear down by 3:45. We ran a magnum plug in chartreuse on one side and a green flasher with green hoochie and herring strip on the other. Conditions were OK, rain was forecast for later in the evening.
We trolled from Juanita Bay over to the Kirkland marina and back, working water from 70 to 130 feet deep. Found some nice schools of fish, saw a couple jumpers. Enough fish to expect some action, which we got around 6pm as the flasher/hoochie set up got hit. Unfortunately the fish came off as JoAnn was reeling it in. That was it for the the evening, we pulled up the gear and hauled back to the launch at 7pm just in time to avoid a rain squall (barely).
JoAnn doesn't jig for salmon, but if she did I would definitely have tried the anchor feature on my trolling motor and went after a few of the bigger schools we found. Don't know if I'll get the chance this year, too much other stuff going on.
Fishing should be good for awhile until the nets go in!
