Now is a transition time for us as we target Fall Kings. I like to start fishing the Hanford Reach the 3rd week in September, but some years depending on conditions, the fish lag behind a bit and I will do another few trips in the Columbia Gorge. That was the case this last weekend. The Reach has fish, but it is definitely slower than the Gorge, so I took my clients to the Gorge! Both Saturday and Sunday, we had multiple hook-ups and were limited and off the water by 10 am. As the run starts to hit the back 9, I will transition to the Reach and finish my Chinook season there.
