Tried Jameson this trip expecting that we would be able to catch some fish. We weren't disappointed. Just the wife and myself this time and we were surprised to find so few people for a weekend at this Lake (maybe because of mothers day). We limited both days on mostly typical 9-11" fish but caught one 14"+ on Saturday and my wife caught one 16"+ on Sunday. Started on Saturday trolling Pop Gear and Wedding Rings and even added a worm to the Weeding Ring but only had a couple of hits. Went to still fishing with indigo (bright green) Powerbait and Salmon Eggs and started catching fish (the infamous Jameson winds were pretty calm this day). The Salmon Eggs seemed to be the key as we tried just Powerbait and didn't get any bites (the oil from the Eggs, I guess). Sunday we started still fishing the same way and only caught a couple. I was determined to make the trolling work and took off all the Pop Gear and fished just lures. Found the F5 Flatfish to be the ticket and started catching fish. Caught them anywhere from one to two colors of Leaded Line depth using both Frog color and Yellow with Red Spots on the Flatfish. Trolling worked out best as the winds did pick up on Sunday and my anchor would not hold when we tried the still fishing. All in all a very nice trip. Both big fish were caught on the Powerbait and Eggs.
