Fished eggs under a float at a new hole this morning in Kent with only a couple small bites. Then fished plugs, twitchin jigs and spinners. Finally got a couple hookups (small jacks) on a size 4 Blue Fox spinner.

They hit the spinner really soft too...Usually they'll attack a spinner. Both came unbuttoned right at the bank.

The spinners had barbless single siwash on them so I switched them out... By the time I got back casting the bite was over...2 fish were hooked in less than 3 minutes.

Moved to a new spot and float fished eggs with a couple decent bites and just as I was leaving the fish activity started picking up. Saw a couple nice sized ones jumping.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know if the Dewatto River is any good? If so, what is the best tactic?

You bet. Haven't heard anything of recent but in the past I think it was a pretty good place...If you're not too far, I'd recommend just getting out there and seeing what you can scratch up. Silvers will bite just about anything if they are in the mood and willing to play :) Pick your favorite tactic or two and give a go...Best advice I could give ya. Goodluck!

Fished at the pea patch area today and saw no cohos. Caught a bunch of pinks and a 25-30lb king I released. Would love to know where people are finding the coho on the river because I haven't seen too many.

They're around...all throughout the system...I've been fishing mid-river mostly in Kent...Some tough fishing as the fish aren't holding there much and so they're harder to catch...What did you catch that King on? Nice fish man! How are the pinks up that way? Near spawn stage and all dark? I haven't even seen a pink in a few weeks.

Caught the king on a bue fox size 4 blue color. Caught one pink that hadnt turned yet and the others were pretty ugly.

Nice! I've had a couple nice hits past couple of trips on those size 4 Blue Foxes myself...Love that Blue and Silver Combo...I've hooked winter run steelhead, pinks, coho and chinooks on that color combo! Gotta love a tried and true winning combination. Good to hear there's still a few decent pinks up that way for folks to take home. Below 167 all I saw were a couple pretty used up ones.
