No pics this time, but we did have a good day. Launched about 8:30 and had 5 in the cooler by 11 or so then bite seemed to quit. We continued for awhile then moved back to where we started and finished the day @ 3:30 after #10 went in the cooler.

Perch and orange/black flies worked best on lead core and downrigger at 12 - 15'. Caught 3 or 4 with intact adipose, one easily 22" or better that we didn't even remove from the net.

Speeds were 2.3 - 3mph depending how strong the wind was at our back.

Glad you had success. You mentioned 12-15 feet deep on the down riggers. So were you out 2-1/2 colors on the leaded line? I love using leaded line too. I use it all the time over here on the west side in a lake thats about 22 feet deep. I fish down around 16 feet deep. I mostly use two colors/40 foot leader/old goat lure and it works great. I hope to come fish Roosevelt just before Thanksgiving. I've never fished it at that time. Can you give me a suggestion as to what part of the lake might produce best at that time. Thank you. Denny

Don't go by colors, use line counter reels, but do know that's approximately 2 1/2 - 3 colors. Have posted here many times, 150' out which includes 50' fluorocarbon leader. Depth is also dependent on speed, which in my case is most always 2.5mph or better. Recommendations would really depend where you'll be launching from and how far you're willing to travel on the water.

I would say the Lincoln/fort Spokane area should be a good option based on passed experience! Don’t hold me to it tho??
