After driving 200 miles last weekend to fish Olympic Peninsula rivers i decided stay close to home and see what was going on the upper Green river. I showed up late morning and fished into the afternoon with better results then expected. Initially planning on wading to get to a less crowded chum holes from last year it soon became clear that there were few chum but an abundance of coho. I joined a few friendly fisherman on the bank and caught close to ten fish over the course of the day all of which were coho. Bobber and jig did the trick. I kept two brighter hens and safely released the rest.
