This report is actually for 8, 9 and 11 Nov 19.

8 Nov - Fished the Spokane Arm solo, all my buddies were busy. Fished the same areas as the past few weeks: from Porcupine Bay up river. Caught 27 walleyes and kept 9 eaters. I also caught 7 burbot, all released. Both the eyes and burbot are spitting up perch and crayfish so match the hatch as they say.

9 Nov - Fished with one of my buddies in the same areas as Friday. We caught 40 eyes and kept 15. I caught 7 more burbot and my buddy caught a token 1. We only had a morning bite; once the sun burned off the fog the bite stopped cold.

11 Nov - I took my boat and my buddy Glenn out. Two of my other buddies also took their boat out. We are all veterans so it was fitting that we spent the day together doing something we all enjoy. All of us fished the same areas and the initial bite was pretty slow. The water temp dropped about 5 degrees since Friday. Glenn and I moved around and caught a few eyes while our other buddies went down river a bit and eventually found quite a few eyes in 65-70 FOW. They had to weed through a bunch of dinks but had a better day than us. I also caught another 10 burbot, my buddies together caught about 5.

Mark when you are using a blade bait or a jigging spoon do you tip those with a worm or is it totally an action based attractor? I have some experience with a regular lead head jig using a worm and a skirt but other than owning a couple blade baits and a few Kastmasters that I always thought were a trout spoon that I have never had much success with I don't know much about them. Glad you had a good veterans day. I am temporarily on beach so just trying to learn from others. USN 70-76 CVAN-65 72-76

Guys, we are the true 1% of the population; which is kind of sad if you think about it. This past weekend everything was caught on jigs. I tried a jigging spoon and a blade bait but all I did was wear my arm out. A very slow jigging presentation has worked best for me and apparently it is what the burbot prefer also. When using a jigging spoon and blade baits the only thing I do is change out the hooks. Some of the hooks on the 1/2 oz. Kastmasters are too small and the hooks on most blade baits bend when you have a really big fish on. I prefer to replace them with slip ring and red treble hooks.
