Left Moscow around 6:30am and arrived at the Keller launch a little after 9:30. Prepped the boat and we were on the water shortly before 10am. Decided to head south to the cliffs that appear at the first bend in the reservoir. Fired up the kicker, tied a fluoro-green/chartreuse OG1 onto the inside rod and then experimented with different colors on the outside and middle rods. (The two outside rods were clipped to our downriggers and running at depths from 20 to 30 feet. The middle rod was running shallow with a 1-ounce trolling weight.)

The rod with the 2.13" OG1 picked up a decent hatchery bow within 20 minutes. We were hugging the cliffs in 70-feet (or less of water). And, the same lure managed another bow sometime later.

Because Roosevelt is a relatively unknown fishery to us, we decided to pull the gear in a head several miles south and search for fish. This effort came up dry. We continued to fish the east shore but only marked one or two fish.

After this, we pulled the gear up again and headed north to the mouth of the Sanpoil River. We trolled from the ferry terminal to the river mouth. While trolling north, we picked up a nice Kokanee on the 2.8" OG1. After a second pass, we picked up a decent 'bow (again on the fluoro-green/chartreuse 2.13 OG1).

The light started fading. So, we headed back to the launch. All in all, a great day on the river! (Many thanks to Jed W. and Matt W. for their patience and camera work!)

Hey, fun video, good job. Forgot to mention in my last report that I caught all my fish (1 Koke, 6 RB, 1 released) on the pink Old Goat Spinner setup using a pink Arrow Flash dodger. Lost one big one when the leader parted right at the hooks, maybe drug it across a tooth, several other takedowns, enough action on that setup I never changed it all day. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

Part-Time: Thanks for the report: Appreciate your putting the OG spinner to work!! (I had a few OG spinners in the boat; but, due to tunnel-vision on my part, ended up fishing OG1s all day...should have tied one of our spinners on!) Merry Christmas to you! --Donn

Hi Donn: Nice report. Thank you. Roosevelt is an awesome fishery for sure. Wish it wasn't so far from here. Will be using your Old Goats this winter over here on the west side many times I hope. As you know there have worked amazingly well for me over here as well as over your way when I can get there. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and best wishes in the coming year. Denny

Great report and video, thank you.
Just want to pass on, fishing those cliffs you mentioned. I have seen it where a massive section broke loose and came crashing into the lake from high above. It would have destroyed any boat fishing close to the cliffs. Just a heads up. I stay clear from them now after seeing that.
Blessings
