I have been aching to get out and do some cutthroat fishing with the weather over the last month there just hasn't been any opportunities, so I jumped at yesterdays weather. I took two of my friends Doug, and Danny we left Milton at 700 am traffic was pretty bad so we got to the launch at lake Sammamish at 8. At the launch we ran into our first problem there were debris blocking the boat ramps and the water was so high you needed hip waders to get to the docks. We cleared a launch, I put them in the boat used my waders to launch the boat.
We fished the two points on the right side of the lake and around the weather buoy. We fished the top 30 feet of water using pop gear and wedding rings tried flashers and spoons even drug around a herring no bites. We used everything but the sink, the water was very muddy colored the water temp was consistent all the way to the bottom within a tenth of a degree 54 degrees. I have never seen the water get high on a lake like this before the folks docks were breaking up there was wood and debris floating everywhere. The folks that had covered boat lifts many of the covers were in the water a capsized paddle boat had floated out of somebody's yard it was a real no go on the fishing I even felt bad for some of those million dollar property owners. We fished until 1 and left; weather was great fishing great catching bad
