Today decided to give Offutt lake a try with my friend Kevin. We fished from about 9am- 2:30. I experinced the best day of big trout fishing I've had since moving to Washington 5 years ago. These fish were a battle on kokanee downrigger rods, almost
Reminded me of salmon fishing. We ended up limiting out going 10 fish for 15 hook ups. The trout were caught from the surface to 16 ft on the downrigger. Trolling about 1.6 mph. The hot lures were a spoon I custom painted orange and purple, Brads killer cuttplugs and a luckycraft minnow. Tight lines!
