Well the learning curve continues. What a nice day Wednesday was. We launched at Porcupine with calm waters and high hopes and headed down around the cemetery area. Had our lines out just after 8 and a couple hours later we were still there with nary a bite to show for our time. The water was pretty muddy and I am not sure if that was an issue or we just weren't there when the bite was on but there sure wasn't anything happening. Dropped down river beyond the narrows and the water was clearer but still no bites. Went down by the bridge and started trolling for RB and went clear out to the main river and no bites there either. Headed over to Casino Flats and put the bottom bouncers back out and started looking for Walleye. The wind had kicked up and was making things a bit difficult but finally just after 2:30 we got our first bite which turned out to be a nice 20" eye. Managed to pick up 5 more eaters and one nice RB before we had to run for Porcupine before it got dark. Wish I would have launched at FT. Spokane. So, we didn't do all that well but I found a new place to try for Walleye. Meant to switch over and try jigging or blade baits but by the time we found them it was a little late to switch tactics. Next time. We got all of our fish in around 32 FOW using worms on Super Death hooks. Had a floatation pill up from the hook around 18".
