Got to John Wayne Marina at around 6 left launch in the dark ran the 19 miles out to Eastern Bank and was fishing as a beautiful morning sunrise was coming into full on daylight. The water was as calm as I ever remember seeing it out in the middle of the straights, there were patches of water that looked as flat as the mirror in your bathroom the wind was completely still, a most beautiful day ,actually two days as on Tuesday the weather was so good we decided to stay another day, and Wednesdays weather was almost as nice the wind came up in the afternoon on the second day though. Fish was not so hot we never really got into any Blackmouth of any size and even the shakers were few and far between. I ran a coyote spoon behind a flasher that didn't work tried different spoons including a coho killer nothing, flasher and hootchie nothing, tried bait nothing was working talked to 4 of the six other boats out there for the two days I was out they had not caught any thing never saw a net for the two days
