Well, Lake Gods were kind to us. We decided to hit at Lake Cavanaugh on a Sunday.
Been itching try these shrimp lures out from Soldier Soul lures. So why not try my favorite lake.
So I decided to take the full family with me. Wife my 2 sons (11year old, and 8 year old), and my 2 daughters ( 10 year old and 2 year old).

Mind you, which means its time to teach my youngest daughter that's 2 years old to fish.

We started at 9:30 am and left at around 2 pm. I just wanted the family to have fun on this trip. Boy did we kill it.

We used new Shrimp Lures, at 20' to 35' deep. With setbacks about 35 to 40' back. Trolled at 1.2 to 1.4.

We had few doubles, not bad for temp being 32 degrees. But I had to make sure the family got there time.

As father and Husband...couldn't be more proud of my angler famile.

My 2-year-old got 1 cutt and kok.
My wife got her first Kokanee for 2020.
All the kiddos got fish...it was awesome to see them grow better and better each year.
1 limits of Kokanee and 6 cutts. That's pretty good for this time of year. Average size kokanee were 14" to 15.5".

Overall great day. I had post youtube video of our adventure. Happy Happy day with the family.

Great report Jeff, one of my favorite lakes. Sounds like a perfect family day. We should plan a group outing; fishing in the morning then a shore bound BBQ in the afternoon.

"Your killing me Smalls" I went up and threw the kithchen sink at em today for couple hours plus and not even a wink. Only other fella there had two small kokes. We both saw your report Jeff and that's why we were both there. Instead of using the bait that's been in my fridge for the last six months next time, I hit Holiday tonight for fresh ammo before they get shut down. They don't have the Soldier shrimp yet. Awe what the heck!! The lake was a mirror and you could pert near count the trees on Horsehead. I'm in on a Cavanaugh shin dig and will gladly help anyway I could. Say the word Team

Lol, you are funny. Yeah, working on Holiday to get them Soldier Soul Shrimp lures. Johns Sporting Goods got them. Conner or John can hook you up. Well, let's plan a trip, will make happen together.
I may go this weekend. I got alot more colors to field test.

Great to see you starting them out young! My kids still fish with me all the time and they're 27 and 23. Many great memories! Is the ramp still a little rough at Cavanaugh? It's been a while since I've been up there.
