The wife and I thought we would give Clear lake a go being that it is close to home. We used tubes 10 inches behind 5.5 Rocky Mountain tackle dodgers trolling from 1.3-1.6 Mph. I went to put out the first rod and sent it down 15ft on the downrigger. In less than 30 seconds, first fish on! We pretty much had non stop action releasing a couple and losing a few along the way. In approximately an hour we had our limits. Fun lake to catch stocker rainbows and watch the bald eagles and osprey fish at the sametime.
