Let me start by saying that I was shocked that there weren't more anglers out on the water on what was basically the first weekend it was open. Quite a few on the shore, but I only counted 6 boats total. Anyway, the wife and I trolled some perch-type spinners with a chunk of crawler on them from the dock down to my favorite spot. I managed to hook up a small rainbow about halfway up the lake, but it wiggled free at the boat. We anchored along the shore near the big rocks on the west bank due to the wind. We switched up to dough and waited for the bite which happened around 10:30. They seemed to like Zeke's garlic in orange color the best. Managed to haul in two really nice rainbows about 18" each. One had pale pink meat while the other had a bright orange meat. Brined them overnight and smoked them the next morning. They both taste great.
