Got out to Lake Devereaux yesterday for some great trout and kokanee action. Trout are thick so hard to get your lure to the kokanee before it gets hammered by the trout. Fortunately with the heat they are starting to separate with the trout taking the top of the water column. So if you are targeting Kokanee you have to get below the trout.
They were after pink today. Pink Arrowflash dodger with a pink Trout sized NTO Scent Spinner and hoochie. Second was a dick nite pink spatter back with just the plain hoochie. Both with shoepeg corn. Biggest trout was 13 inches, biggest koke was 10 inches.
Kokes were in-between 20- 27 feet. Trout were 20 feet and shallower. Good day!
