I went to fish a new to me lake! I see the sign for Mineral lake on the way to Riffe but until today I've never given it a try. I must say its a pretty little lake and I captured a beautiful shot of the mountain. I saw online that this lake has rainbows, browns, and crayfish. I decided to run crankbaits. One because I can release some fish not using bait or scent. and 2nd I've had good luck using those for browns in the motherlode lakes of California. I also decided to bring a few crayfish traps. It only took five minutes to hook my first trout. It ended up being my first Washington brown. Not a big one but I didnt care. I was stoked to catch one. I ended up hooking plenty of fish. Releasing a few, losing a few and keeping 5 to smoke. I rated the trip a 4 because I got skunked on the crayfish front. All in all it was a great day and I'll definitely make more trips to mineral
